Hiding Cars began as a personal project that grew organically while exploring the streets of Japan's cities and towns on foot. Unlike London, where on-street parking is commonplace, in Japan space is at a premium on the tightly packed streets, making parking a challenge. As a result, cars can be found poking out of little nooks and crannies, occupying designated little parking spots and giving the illusion that they're playing a game of hide and seek around town. As the trip progressed, more hiding scenes presented themselves, the project became impossible to ignore.
